Silver Golub & Teitell congratulates partner Peter Dreyer on becoming president of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Dreyer was confirmed as president for a one-year term at the CTLA's annual meeting on June 16, taking over from immediate past president Alinor Sterling.
Mr. Dreyer represents individuals and their families who have suffered death and serious injury due to medical malpractice, trucking collisions and other events that require protracted or challenging litigation. He is the managing partner of Silver Golub & Teitell.
“CTLA is grounded in the belief that justice depends on access, advocacy and an independent judiciary,” Mr. Dreyer said. “In a time of rising threats, I’m honored to help lead our continued fight for those values.”
Since joining Silver Golub & Teitell, Mr. Dreyer has recovered more than $200 million for his clients in medical malpractice, wrongful death and serious personal injury cases, including birth injuries and trucking accidents. He is a former Assistant District Attorney of Bronx County, New York, which at the time was the fifth largest prosecutor’s office in the United States.
“Having worked with Peter for nearly 25 years, I can attest to his judgment, leadership and legal acumen. He is the perfect person to lead the CTLA at this time,” said Silver Golub & Teitell partner Angelo Ziotas, who served as CTLA president in 2014-2015.
In addition to Mr. Dreyer and Ms. Sterling, the CTLA’s incoming officers are President-Elect Cindy Robinson, Vice President Patrick Kennedy, Treasurer Brian Flood, Secretary Karolina Dowd and Parliamentarian Garrett Moore, Jr.
The Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association is a nonprofit professional association dedicated to creating and maintaining a more just society by preserving individual rights within the justice system.
