SGT Partner Ernie Teitell Discusses ‘What Makes a Great Lawyer’ at Quinnipiac University School of Law

February 21, 2023

Silver Golub & Teitell LLP Partner Ernie Teitell recently participated in a panel at the Quinnipiac University School of Law titled “What do lawyers actually do, and what makes a great lawyer?”

Joining Mr. Teitell on the panel were U.S. District Judge Victor A. Bolden; Andrea Barton Reeves, nominee for Commissioner, Connecticut Department of Social Services; and Joette Katz, a partner at Shipman & Goodwin and a former Connecticut Supreme Court Justice. The panel was moderated by Louis R. Pepe, a partner at McElroy Deutsch.

“The panel gave us the opportunity to share our personal pathways to becoming a lawyer and our thoughts on professionalism and excellence in law,” said Mr. Teitell. “We wanted these future lawyers to understand the importance of developing their own professional identities without losing touch with their personal values.”

The panel was part of the law school’s two-day Gateway to Practice program for first-year students.

Mr. Teitell is a fierce and compassionate advocate for people and families who have suffered from medical malpractice, defective products, catastrophic vehicle collisions, sexual abuse and other traumatic events. He is an adjunct professor at Quinnipiac University School of Law and currently teaches a course in medical malpractice.
