$5 Million Settlement for Family of Bart Palosz Earns Wide Media Coverage

March 1, 2023

NBC New York, the Daily Mail, the Connecticut Law Tribune and other media reported on a $5 million settlement that Silver Golub & Teitell secured for the family of Bart Palosz, a high school student who died by suicide in 2013 after years of bullying at school.

The town of Greenwich agreed to settle the wrongful death lawsuit, which laid out how the school district failed to protect the student.

"Bart was a kind and wonderful boy who should never have had to endure the daily torment he experienced at school," the Palosz family said in a statement quoted by the publications.

Silver Golub & Teitell partner Jennifer B. Goldstein said the settlement "vindicates Bart's right to be protected from bullying." Ms. Goldstein represented the Palosz family along with partner David S. Golub.
