Conn. lawmakers address student-athlete injuries

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut lawmakers are considering ways to raise public awareness of dangerous medical conditions that have afflicted student athletes: concussions and cardiac arrests.

The General Assembly’s Committee on Children heard testimony Thursday on legislation that would expand the state’s 2010 concussion prevention law, including limiting the amount of time spent in practices for contact sports to 90 minutes a week. ... Read more >
