Silver Golub & Teitell is proud to have once again flown the Elmo balloon at the Stamford Thanksgiving parade, sharing the honors with Emmett & Glander.
According to the Stamford Advocate, more than 100,000 people — a crowd nearly the size of the entire population of Stamford — were expected to attend. They gathered on the sidewalks along the mile-long parade route and watched from the balconies and windows of office and apartment buildings along the route.
The parade featured nine marching bands, eight floats, dancing troupes, cheerleaders, clowns and a mounted horse guard. Some 1,500 volunteers helped make it all happen.
The event was hosted by the Downtown Special Services District along with Stamford Town Center and The Advocate/Hearst Connecticut Media,
