NBC New York Television Reports on $5 Million Settlement for Palosz Family, Interviews Partner Jennifer Goldstein

March 10, 2023

NBC New York (Channel 4) television aired an in-depth report on a settlement that Silver Golub & Teitell achieved for the family of Bart Palosz, a Greenwich, Connecticut, high school student who died by suicide in 2013 after years of bullying at school.

The report featured an extensive interview with Bart's sister, who described to NBC New York TV what the settlement means for her family. It also included an interview with Silver Golub & Teitell partner Jennifer B. Goldstein, who represented the Palosz family along with partner David S. Golub for the past eight years.

Ms. Goldstein explained that the Greenwich, Connecticut, school district had a strong anti-bullying policy but failed to implement it. "What we have here is a colossal failure to comply with that policy," Ms. Goldstein told NBC New York investigative reporter Sarah Wallace. The town of Greenwich agreed to pay $5 million to settle the wrongful death lawsuit, believed to be the highest settlement in a bullying case against a public school system in Connecticut.
