Silver Golub & Teitell Files Data Privacy Lawsuit Against Webster Bank

May 25, 2023

The Hartford Business Journal, Law360 and the Connecticut Law Tribune reported on Silver Golub & Teitell's data privacy class action for consumers who were hit by a data breach at Stamford-based Webster Bank.

The lawsuit, filed on May 15, alleged that Webster Bank failed to protect consumers’ personal identifying information and failed to notify them of the breach for almost two months.

“This data breach is a good example of an inexcusable delay in letting people know,” SGT partner Ian W. Sloss, who is representing the customers with associate Zachary A. Rynar, told the Connecticut Law Tribune.
